Elene Gvrishivili
Elene Gvritishvili is a Russian soprano from Saint Petersburg, currently based in Munich. During her conservatory studies she began her professional journey as a member of Teodor Currentzis’ ensemble musicAeterna, where she worked from 2020 to 2022, performing both as a soloist and within the choir all over the world.
In 2022, she joined the Young Artist Program at the Bolshoi Theatre, where she studied and performed until 2024. During her time in Moscow, she appeared as Natasha Rostova in Prokofiev’s War and Peace, Ilia in Mozart’s Idomeneo, and Pamina in Die Zauberflöte. She also took part in staged performances and concert programs at the Bolshoi Theatre, Moscow Philarmonic Hall and other venues.
Since the 2024/25 season — guest soloist at the Bavarian State Opera, where she has performed in the operas La Cenerentola by Rossini (as Clorinda), Don Carlos (as Tebaldo), Aida and Macbeth by Verdi, and Hänsel und Gretel by Humperdinck. In the 2025/26 season, she will perform in The Magic Flute by Mozart, Parsifal by Wagner, Rusalka by Dvořák, and in the new production of Henze’s opera The English Cat.
